MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Relevant Experience:
Minimum 8 years of costing experience in Engine system domain
Overall Experience:
13-15 years of experience in Production of Engineering products/ Auto Components with a Tier1 or OEM
Area of responsibility:
Evaluate engineering changes to establish should cost for the change and identify the cost drivers for variable and supplier tooling for Fuel System, Exhaust system
· Provide purchasing with support during supplier negotiations through analysis of supplier’s price breakdown detail and “should cost” analysis
· Periodic Supplier visits to maintain & improve internal know-how of manufacturing processes & best practices
· Identify potential cost optimization opportunities and support company technical cost reduction activities
· Provide global component cost comparison analysis by working with Product Cost Engineers from other regions
· Develop the cost structure for component standardization plans
