Educational qualification: Bachelor’s/master’s degree in electrical/Electronics/Mechanical /production/industrial Engineering
Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 8 years of relevant experience/ master’s with minimum 6 years of relevant experience
Primary Responsibilities:
This position will be based out of Bangalore, directly reporting to Supplier Quality Manager in India, and closely working with Supplier and Global stakeholders (Supply Chain, Product Group, Manufacturing). This individual would be responsible for managing and executing critical projects, continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and meet Quality metrics of Heaters. Individual’s primary job responsibilities are listed below:
· Managing assigned suppliers in Heater's commodity to ensure expectations are met in terms of Quality and timeline.
· Evaluate the impact of internal and external non-conformances and take a lead in problem solving activities, drive root cause and corrective actions with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances.
· Assist suppliers in preparing and implementing 8D (RCCA), First Article, Process of Record (like PPAP approach) and Problem Report (Supplier Deviations, Engineering queries) etc.
· Drive supplier improvement through virtual assessment, manage scorecard, and support supplier qualification processes.
· Review supplier manufacturing processes and engage with suppliers to identify process improvements.
· Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering for business value enhancement opportunities
Mandatory Skills required to perform the job:
· Experience in Electrical and Electromechanical assemblies and OEM/COTs (Commercial off the shelf parts), this includes Cables, Cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, PCBA and preferably heater and weldment
· Interpret Electrical schematics, specifications and well versed with Electrical and mechanical standards.
· Ability to review and audit POR (Like PPAP), proven experience in establishing measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) at supplier end.
· Deep understanding of QMS (Quality management systems) assessment at supplier end and experience in setting annual quality goals and executing to plan
· Excellent communication (written & verbal) & presentation skills
Desirable Skills:
· Working knowledge of metal part fabrication and assembly processes such brazing, welding etc.
· Experience of handling supplier from remote location
· Six Sigma Green belt/Black belt certified.
