Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with expertise in Creo, 3D Modeling, and Sheet Metal Design. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in product development, CAD modeling, and engineering design, particularly in automotive, industrial equipment, or sheet metal components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings using Creo Parametric.
  • Design and develop sheet metal components, ensuring manufacturability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturing) & DFA (Design for Assembly) studies.
  • Perform tolerance analysis, GD&T application, and engineering calculations.
  • Work on BOM (Bill of Materials) creation and change management in PLM systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement to optimize designs.
  • Review and validate designs through FMEA, feasibility studies, and prototyping.
  • Provide support for design modifications, cost reduction initiatives, and product improvement programs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Automotive Engineering / Production Engineering or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in design engineering, specifically with Creo Parametric.
  • Strong knowledge of Sheet Metal Design, Welded Structures, and Fabrication Processes.
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Familiarity with PLM/PDM tools such as Windchill.
  • Understanding of automotive or industrial product development cycles.
  • Knowledge of material selection for sheet metal components and their mechanical properties.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in automotive, heavy machinery, or industrial equipment design.
  • Knowledge of plastic components, casting, or machining is a plus.
  • Exposure to CAE tools (FEA/CFD) for design validation.
